What if I take poor quality photos when I add my item?

During the add asset process, we request a photo of your item as well as a photo of you with your item (a "selfie"). These photos help us establish that the item exists and matches the details you have provided, and that the item is in your possession.

The photos of your item and you with your item are a requirement for cover – i.e. in order for your cover to be valid and for any claims to be considered, you must take these photos per the instructions displayed when you add your item in the app.

If you provide incorrect photos during the add asset process, you must update the photos by following the steps below:

  1. Open the app, and tap on the asset name.

  2. Select the ‘Gallery’ tab at the top of the screen.

  3. Tap the ‘Retake’ button and retake the required photos.
